This exquisite piece was crafted by Soshou Kamikawa, a master artisan recognized as a Contemporary Master Craftsman and recipient of the prestigious Yellow Ribbon Medal. Using the traditional uchikomi zōgan inlay technique, passed down since the Edo period, Kamikawa has meticulously hand-hammered an 18-karat gold swallow motif onto a pure silver ice cream spoon.
Thanks to silver’s high thermal conductivity, the user's body heat quickly transfers to the spoon's tip, gently softening the ice cream, making it easier to scoop smoothly. Every detail, from the spoon's shape to its size, is designed for comfort and an optimal mouthfeel, with each piece carefully crafted by hand.
