KOROMO Shallow Bowl

The "KOROMO" series shallow bowl (medium bowl/bowl) allows you to simultaneously experience the unique texture of wood, the beautiful hues of lacquer, and the elegance of maki-e. The upper part of the bowl features red or black lacquer, the lower part has a clear finish that highlights the natural wood grain, and the gold or silver maki-e line in between adds an accent, creating a stylish atmosphere despite its simple design. This slightly shallow bowl is versatile and can be used as both a bowl and a plate. The lacquered section uses a "Mehajiki" technique that lets the wood grain show through, making it an appealing backdrop for plated dishes and easy to use casually.
