KOROMO Bowl

The "KOROMO" series bowls allow you to simultaneously experience the unique texture of wood, the beautiful hues of lacquer, and the elegance of maki-e designs. The upper part of the bowl is coated with red or black lacquer, the lower part features a clear finish that showcases the natural wood grain, and a line of gold or silver maki-e adds a stylish accent in between, creating a simple yet sophisticated design. Its shape makes it perfect not only as a soup bowl but also as a rice bowl. The lacquered sections use a technique called "Mehajiki," which allows the wood grain to remain visible, making it suitable for casual use.
