The Abalone shell is a multi-tray that can be used for a variety of purposes. It can be used as a tray for small items and accessories that you cherish, as an incense plate to hold an incense holder, or as a receptacle for burning white sage or palo santo. Please use food-grade paper, etc. when using for food such as sweets.
This multi-tray is made of cast brass and is modeled after an abalone shell (a type of abalone). Abalone shells have been considered sacred by Native Americans since ancient times, and because they come from the sea, they have been used in rituals as a source of healing from the sea.
The front surface is mirror-polished by artisans, while the back retains the rough texture of sand casting, expressing the texture of an abalone shell. The color of brass changes over time, so you can enjoy different types of aging depending on the finish. *To allow you to enjoy this aging process, we have not applied a clear coating to the surface.
