This is an original tea canister from Fujiki Denshiro Shoten, where the cherry bark peeks out like a ribbon. By shortening the outer cylinder of a regular tea canister, the inner cylinder's cherry bark is revealed, accentuating the color of the outer wooden cylinder. While innovative in design as kabazaiku, it is a unique piece that fully showcases the characteristics of its materials and techniques. The inner cylinder is entirely covered with cherry bark, allowing you to enjoy the contrast when the outer lid is opened. Additionally, the inner lid is deeper than usual and lacks a knob, enabling it to also function as a tea scoop when transferring tea leaves into a teapot. Among kabazaiku products, those with a polished finish are not coated to allow customers to enjoy the natural texture of the material. Therefore, please avoid moisture as much as possible. If it gets wet, wipe it off immediately with a soft, dry cloth. Align the joints of the body and the lid when closing the lid. Both the body and the lid are made using a single wooden mold, so aligning the joints allows for smooth closure.
