This is an original tea caddy by Fujiki Denshiro Shoten, utilizing a new manufacturing method while taking advantage of the characteristics of the "kata-mono" technique created with an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder. The outer cylinders made of cherry bark, walnut, cherry, and maple are cut into four rings, rearranged, and placed over the inner cylinder. The materials used, from top to bottom, are plain cherry bark, walnut, cherry, and maple, with the "plain bark" used for the top outer lid serving as the product name. Design: Kaichiro Yamada *Since natural materials are used, the patterns and colors of the grain may vary for each piece. While we strive to present products as close to the actual items as possible, the colors and textures may appear different depending on the shooting conditions or the computer or smartphone used by the customer. Thank you for your understanding.

Care Guide

**A Guide to Cherishing Your Kabazaiku Tea Caddy** Your Kabazaiku tea caddy is a testament to the artistry of handcrafted tradition. To ensure its enduring beauty and functionality, we offer these care guidelines: **Respecting the Craft:** * **Intended Use:** Please use your tea caddy solely for storing tea leaves. * **Environmental Sensitivity:** * Avoid storing your caddy in the refrigerator, as extreme dryness can cause the bark to peel and the wood to warp. * Protect it from direct sunlight to prevent warping, cracking, and fading. * Keep it in a dry environment, as humidity can also cause the bark to peel. * Avoid sudden temperature changes, which can lead to warping and cracking. Never place hot or cold objects directly on the surface. * **Handling with Care:** * Due to the delicate nature of Kabazaiku, please handle your tea caddy with gentleness and avoid any impacts that could cause damage. **A Note on Unlacquered Interiors:** To allow you to fully appreciate the natural texture and beauty of the birch bark, the interior of your Kabazaiku tea caddy has been left unlacquered. This makes it particularly susceptible to moisture. Please take extra care to keep the interior dry. Should any moisture come into contact with the surface, wipe it away immediately with a soft, dry cloth. **Closing Your Tea Caddy:** To close your tea caddy, align the seam of the lid with the body and gently press down. As both the lid and body are crafted from a single piece of wood, they are designed to fit together seamlessly. **Embracing Individuality:** Each Kabazaiku tea caddy is a unique, handcrafted piece of art. Slight variations in the fit of the lid are a natural characteristic of this craftsmanship. **Optimal Tea Storage:** Your Kabazaiku tea caddy is designed to maintain optimal humidity levels, preserving the flavor and aroma of your precious tea leaves.
