This is a Japanese plate created by Noboru Yamada, a traditional craftsman. The skills of Noboru Yamada, a Kyoto kimono gold leaf artisan, have been captured in this glass vessel. As each piece is handmade, no two are exactly alike.

Hatsuzuru no Tsuki "初弦の月" refers to the first quarter moon in Japanese. It's the phase of the moon when it appears as a half-circle illuminated on the right side. In Japan, the first quarter moon holds cultural significance and is often appreciated for its beauty. It's a reminder of the cyclical nature of time and the constant changes in the natural world.
